My Story

Coming to America

I was born in Japan in 1964. During this time, my father was studying law at Japan's Keio University, and had substantial scholastic ambitions.

I was sent to Taiwan to live with my grandmother while my father completed his studies. He went on to become one of the first lawyers in Flushing, NY.

I arrived in America in 1974, after being separated from my family for ten years.

A Family That Started Over

Not long after I arrived, it became clear that my father was abusive, and my mother was left to raise five children alone on welfare.

I helped where a child could. I sold eggrolls on Riverside Drive, and I delivered newspapers on two routes, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Building a Business in Queens

I credit God's mercy, and my wife's support, for what came next.

I worked in the limousine and car service industry, and then I learned auto repair. I set out to pursue The American Dream by opening my own car repair business in 1990, which I still operate to this day.

In more than thirty years of that work I have met all walks of life, from every corner of the earth. Queens is America's melting pot of diversity, and I have seen it one person at a time.

The District I Am Asking to Serve

New York's 6th Congressional District runs across central and northeastern Queens. Flushing, where my father practiced law. Forest Hills, Rego Park, Elmhurst, Fresh Meadows, Jackson Heights, Kew Gardens Hills, Bayside, Auburndale, Oakland Gardens, Maspeth, Middle Village and Woodside.

These are working neighborhoods of small businesses and families who came here from everywhere, and they deserve a representative who has lived that same life.

Why I Am Running?

I am running for office to rekindle the lost values of the American ethos.

I believe our government leaders should embody truthful, intelligent, moral principles and values.

New York's 6th District will be restored to a truthful, transparent, and well-run community.
